IBAB approved as Centre of Excellence

IBAB has, in October 2007, received administrative approval for setting up a Centre of Excellence for research and training in the field of Bioinformatics. This is a 5-year project from the Department of Information Technology of the Ministry of Communication & IT, Govt. of India. It relates to the development of specific software and tools, enhancing human resource development and conducting seminars and workshops in the area of bioinformatics.
