Pracint, the students' entrepreneurship cell of IBAB held its debut event, BioZing, alongwith Bangalore Bio 2004. The event started on 12 July, 2004 at 2 PM with a short introduction of Pracint. The formal inauguration of Pracint was done by Mr M. K. Shankaralinge Gowda, the IT, BT, S & T Secretary to the Govt. of Karnataka. This was followed by a debate competition in which students from science and technology colleges across the country participated. The topic of the debate was "Eating genes: Are genetically modified foods safe?". This was followed by an inspirational talks by Ms. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, MD, Biocon Limited and Dr. B.V. Ravi Kumar, CEO, Xcyton Diagnostics Limited.

On 13 July 2004 the event started with a short introduction of the previous day's events and the winners along with their teams had a cross table debate on the topics "Cloning for the purpose of research: Is it justified?" and "Biopiracy: Plunder of nature and knowledge". This was followed by an audio visual talk by Dr. Bala Manian, CEO of ReaMetrix. The title of his talk was "Confessions of a serial entrepreneur" which was followed by a round of quiz questions for the audience. Members who answered correctly received books as prizes. The winners of the debate of the first day received cash prizes worth several thousand sponsored by Accelrys Inc. The winning team received A cash prize sponsored by Monsanto Research Center.
