INCUBATION

There are various advantages for entrepreneurs to have an institutional base and/or affiliation, and these are provided by IBAB. Dr. N. Jayasuryan, CEO of the start-up company Microtest Innovations Pvt. was the first entrepreneur to be incubated by IBAB. Recently Cellworks Group Inc. has also availed of IBAB's incubation facilities and their website can be viewed here. Simbiosys Biowares is a recent incubatee. Their site is at this URL and news coverage is available here. The latest companies to be incuated by IBAB are BioCOS Life Sciences, Ixora Biosciences and Shodhaka Life Sciences Pvt Ltd.

IBAB alumni have gone to become entrepreneurs. Savitha Ananth has started her own company, Genbios, which is being virtually incubated by IBAB. Other alumnii also have young companies.

We anticipate a large expansion in this effort when we move to our permanent premises at the Biotech Park. The park is to be located in Electronic City, Off Hosur Road.
