MENTORSHIP
IBAB is the first stop shop for any motivated individual who wishes
to start their own enterprise. It is the first place for someone
to seek guidance on any issue regarding starting a business. Thus,
pointers on the right courses (at NEN partner institutions or
others), resources on the web, sources of funding, networking
with legal, finance, marketing and other professionals... In the
broad area of biotechnology, we can also advise on technical issues.
We have already mentored several students, professionals and NRIs
wishing to set up companies in India.

The Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, has publicized the Draft document of the National Biotechnology Development Strategy document. Kindly click here to view the proposed document that outlines comprehensive support for this sector.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has, in March 2005, released a document regarding the policies and procedures for foreign investments in India. This outlines how to set up a company, taxation laws, special schemes for investments, web sites of various government departments etc. It is available at the following link.
