Laboratory Course in Biotechniques

	Annie P. Augustine  She has completed her Master's Degree in Plant Biotechnology from Mar Athanasios College for Advanced Studies,Tiruvalla,Kerala with 2nd rank.She did her project on 'Subcloning of Dna J homologues from the subtracted library of Piper colubrinum at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology,Thiruvananthapuram. During this period she developed an interest in molecular biology and genetic engineering and would like to pursue research in these areas.She hopes the LCBT at IBAB will equip her with the tools required for exploring the various avenues in the field of biotechnology. 	Harsha V.K has completed his graduation and post graduation in the field of Microbiology from Bangalore University. He has work experience of 13 months in the field of Quality assurance and Microbial Quality control. He has also worked with ATCC (American Type Culture Collection) as their representatives in India. Harsha's of Interest is in Recombinant DNA Technology and Tissue culture. He believes that working in a multidisciplinary area is a key factor for success. Back
	Jibesh Kumar Padhan He is a post graduate in Life Sciences (Biochemistry) from School Of Life Sciences, Sambalpur University, Orissa. Additionally, He has undergone a 4 months professional course on “Protein Modelling and Rational Drug Design” at Biocampus, Hyderabad and is also an Accelrys certified level II professional. He is keenly interested in pursuing a research career related to the field of molecular diagnostics, specially related to Cancer. He is sure that IBAB will give him a solid foundation to meet the challenges in research and a better and broader range to look into matters related to those. Back
	Kamdar Siddharth He has completed his B.Tech Biotechnology from Rajasthan Vidyapith, Rajasthan (Udaipur). He has done his project on the 'Expression of gene using E.coli.' in Torrent Research Center (TRC),Ahmedabad. He is keenly interested in taking up a research career in molecular biology, particularly in molecular diagnostics and cancer research. He is pursuing his postgraduate diploma in biotechniques to enhance his wet lab skills,learn new techniques, presentation skills and entrepreneurship etc. Back
	M. Lata She is a postgraduate in Biotechnology from H.N.B.Garhwal University, Uttaranchal .She had joined IBAB to enhance knowledge in biotechniques. in silico identification and annotation of cell cycle gene in draft O sativa was part of her MSc project. She is interested to pursue research in the field of Genetic Engineering. Back
	Linu Balan He is a B.Tech graduate in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering. He has worked on a project "PHB production from Whey using Ralstonia eutropha”. He has a keen interest in microbiology, immunology, molecular biology and genetic engineering and would like to pursue research in these areas.   Back
	Pritish Paul Pritish is a B.E Graduate in Biotechnology from VTU. He has worked on a project titled as "Insilico prediction and analysis of diseased genes: B-CLL". As a part of the course in IBAB, he has also worked on"Gene cloning: LYZ-c". He has a keen interest in immunology, molecular biology and cancer biology and would like to pursue a career in these areas.   Back
	Rushiraj Manchiganti He has done B.E. in Biotechnology from VTU. His final year project was based on RAPD markers at the Plant Molecular biology department in UAS, GKVK. His interests lie in molecular biology and genomics. He believes biotechniques course at IBAB will equip him to work in a lab in an industrial or a research oriented setting.   Back
	Shiril Kumar He had completed his post graduation in Biotechnology from City College, affiliated to Bangalore University. He joined IBAB to get an exposure to techniques used in Molecular Biology and Recombinant DNA technology, with reference to basic concepts and latest developments. He wants to build his career in research work in Molecular Biology and Recombinant DNA Technology.   Back
	Suman Kumar Metya He holds a post graduate degree from CMR Institute of Management studies, affiliated to Bangalore University.  He is fascinated by the research work that is happening in the field of protein chemistry and would like to pursue his research career in this field. He joined IBAB to improve his technical skills and strengthen his practical knowledge which are important for basic biotechnological experiments.   Back
	Vaishnavi Gopal She has completed her B.Tech in biotechnology from G.M.Institute of Technology, Karnataka. She did her project on Synthesis, characterization, and binding studies of chromium (III) complexes containing an interacting ligand with DNA. She joined IBAB as she wants to gain practical knowledge on aspects of Biotechnology and have a good career ahead. Her areas of interest are molecular biology and plant tissue culture.   Back
	Varun Rawat He is a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology. To be a researcher is his ultimate aim, he wants to do something significant for the welfare of the society, and he feels the best way to do that is by the use of Biotechnology. During his UG course, he has done a project on “In vitro micropropagation of Spilanthes acmella and study of its antimicrobial effects” along with general laboratory practicals. He has also worked on IVF, IVM, Cryopreservation along with various Molecular biology techniques during the industrial training at NDRI, karnal, India. He plans to pursue his education in Life-sciences and do a Ph.D. in the same. He has joined LCBT at IBAB to hone his technical skills in Biotechnology. He thinks it will make him a more efficient person in various techniques of biotechnology, and equip him with an enhanced knowledge of the application part of various Biotechniques Back
