IBAB’s Research Seminar Series was proud to host two eminent scientists in November. Prof. Shailja Singh of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, spoke about ‘Plasmodium falciparum Perforin like proteins triggered intracellular calcium and program cell death in bystander erythrocytes and endothelium contribute tomalaria-induced anemia and pathogenesis’. Prof. Arun Sripati of Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, spoke about ‘If we can make computers play chess, why can’t we make them see?’. Both seminars were engaging and resulted in insightful discussions. We thank the speakers for taking time to share their research stories with IBABians.
