3-day Offline Hands-on Workshop on
“Introduction to Machine Learning in Genomics”
21- 23 September 2023

The themes of the workshop include:

● Introduction to the Genomics Data, Data structure and Analysis pipelines.
● Statistical approaches required for Unsupervised Learning in Omics.
● Introduction to ML
● Hands-on training on developing ML models using Python and scikit-learn.
● Hands-on training on developing ML models using genomic data – A case study.

Target Audience:
The course is aimed at students, researchers, and technicians who wish to explore machine learning applications in genomics. Ph.D. scholars/postdoctoral fellows/JRFs/faculty involved in pure experimental biological research are encouraged to apply. The course will also be beneficial to those pursuing M.Sc./M.Tech. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Microbiology/Biosciences who may be interested in exploring the world of genomics using machine learning approaches. Candidates with previous working knowledge of Linux environment, R and Python programming, shell scripting, and basic statistics will be highly encouraged to apply.

Only 20-25 candidates will be selected for this workshop on a first-come basis.
