IBAB has been providing opportunities for research training at various levels, starting from postgraduate students to postdoctoral fellows. There is an opportunity for these trainees to work in diverse areas of the biosciences under the guidance of the experienced faculty members of IBAB. The trainees are appointed at various levels, depending on their experience. Each year IBAB faculty take on board a limited number of such trainees.

Application process:
Post-doctoral candidates should write to the faculty that they wish to work with. Ideally they should come with their own funding, such as that provided by the National-Post Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) provided by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. In some cases, faculty members have funds to cover a post-doctoral fellowship. Such positions are advertised on the IBAB website, and may also be advertised in Current Science, or on the websites of India BioScience, Nature India etc. In addition, post-doctoral candidates should write to postdocapp@ibab.ac.in , and whenever there is an opportunity, such resumes will be considered.

Research Assistant candidates are chosen through a competitive exam and/or a face- to-face interview. If faculty are actively looking for research assistants, such positions are advertised on the IBAB website, and may also be advertised in Current Science, or on the websites of India BioScience, Nature India etc. In addition, Research Assistant candidates should write to research_assistant_app@ibab.ac.in , and whenever there is an opportunity, such resumes will be considered.

For both Post-doctoral and Research Assistant positions, only short-listed candidates will be informed about the next step in the selection procedure.
