IBAB has a very small number of Administrative and Technical Staff, and each member of the staff is crucial to the running of the institute. They do everything possible to ensure that the institute runs smoothly, and always with a smile.

  • Ms. S.B. Bhagya

    Deputy Registrar

    S.B. Bhagya holds a postgraduate degree in Industrial Chemistry from Kuvempu University, Shimoga and has teaching and analytical laboratory experience of two and half years. She is currently appointed as Assistant Registrar at the Institute. She has been with the institute since 2016.

  • Mr. Dayanand Prakash

    Maintenance Officer – Facility and Infrastructure

    Mr. Dayanand Prakash, Maintenance Engineer, is responsible for the maintenance of all equipment and infrastructure of the IBAB premises. He has specialized in cooling systems and has previously been associated with the Taj Group of Hotels, Bangalore. He is also a certified industrial supervisor from the Karnataka Electricity Board. He has been with the institute since 2001.

  • Mr. Abdulla Khan

    IT Manager

    Mr. Abdulla Khan is the IT Manager at IBAB. He holds a Masters in Computer Applications from University of Mysore and also a diploma in Computer Software Development. He takes care of all the computer hardware and network maintenance, along with software development support. His past professional experience includes being a residential engineer at Robert Bosch and Customer Support Engineer for three years prior to IBAB. He has been with the institute since 2002.

  • Mr. V. Girish Rao

    Maintenance Officer – Campus

    V. Girish Rao, in-charge, Housekeeping and Estate, looks after housekeeping, water supply, estate, dining hall, hostels and guest house. Formerly an entrepreneur, he joined IBAB in June 2009.

  • Ms. Humera Thannem

    Senior Administrative Assistant

    Mrs. Humera Thannem holds a Masters in Commerce from Mysore University, Mysore. She worked for Simbiosys Biowares India Pvt Ltd as administrative officer from March 2006 to June 2009 and later worked for Kalki Communication Pvt Ltd from August 2009 to November 2010 as HR executive. She joined IBAB in 2014.

  • Mr. N. T. Vijay Kumar

    Finance Officer

    N. T. Vijay Kumar is the finance officer. He joined IBAB in 2015.

  • Ms. Sukhanya M

    Senior Administrative Assistant

    Ms. Sukhanya graduated in Commerce from Karnataka State Open University, Mysore. She is currently working as a Senior Administrative Assistant at IBAB. She has been with the institute since 2017, except for a few months in 2023-2024.

  • Ms. Sahana K S

    Junior Administrative Assistant

    Ms. Sahana K S received her BCom (Accounting and Taxation) from Bangalore University in 2016. She worked as a billing executive at Narayana Health City (Mazumdar Shaw Medical Centre), Bommasandra from April 2017 to September 2021 and as a Patient Coordinator at Best Hospital, Chandapura from May 2022 to August 2022. Ms. Sahana is working at IBAB as a Junior Administrative Assistant since September 2022.

  • Ms. Parameshwari S

    Junior Administrative Assistant

    Ms. Parameshwari graduated with a BCom degree from Bangalore University in 2016. She first served as a Purchase Executive at Natural Remedies Pvt Ltd during 2016-17. Subsequently, she held the position of Accounts Executive at Synergypro Promotions and Events India Pvt Ltd from 2021 to May 2023. Ms. Parameshwari joined IBAB in July 2023.

  • Ms. Neha Athanere

    Library Assistant

    Ms. Neha Athanere earned her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLISc) from DAVV University, Indore in 2020. Neha completed a library traineeship at the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) in Gujarat from February 2021 to April 2022. She also served as a Project Trainee at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, from May 2022 to December 2023. Neha brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in managing library activities and services, particularly within research organizations. Her experience reflects a strong commitment to the field of library and information science. Neha joined IBAB in 2023.

  • Mr. Shiva Kumar S K

    Central Instrumentation Facility Manager

    Mr. Shiva Kumar is responsible for the Central Instrumentation Facility, maintenance operations, repair and usage of all IBAB equipment, equipment usage, and coordinating and conducting training programmes for IBAB students. Shiva Kumar earlier worked as Laboratory Manager at the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (inStem) Bengaluru for 7 years. He brings to IBAB his knowledge of laboratory management within research organizations. Shiva Kumar joined IBAB in 2024.
