4-Day Hands-on Workshop on
“Molecular Techniques in Synthetic Biology”

The Synthetic Biology group at IBAB is organizing a 4-day hands-on workshop on “Molecular Techniques in Synthetic Biology” from 13-16 July, 2023.
Objective:
This intensive workshop will focus on basic techniques and workflows in DNA, RNA and protein analysis used in synthetic biology. The participants will be provided with extensive hands-on training in experimental methods relevant to synthetic biology. In addition, specialized lectures and quizzes will be conducted to enhance the conceptual understanding of principles and protocols of different techniques of molecular biology and genetic engineering.
Target Audience:
Students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate courses in Zoology/Botany/Life Sciences/Biotechnology or any subject of biological sciences are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to students studying in higher educational institutions in Karnataka. A total of 20 participants will be selected for the workshop.
How to apply:
Interested participants should register for the workshop by filling up a google form (link mentioned below). Selected students will be contacted for paying the registration fees as shown below. Participation will be confirmed only upon receipt of the registration fees.
Registration Fees: For UG/PG students INR 5000/- (including food and hostel accommodation). The fees paid once will not be refunded under any circumstances.
The deadline for registration is 25th June 2023.

Certificate: The participants will receive a certificate from IBAB.
Travel and hostel accommodation: All participants should come to IBAB on 12th July 2023. Hostel facility on a sharing basis will be provided to all participants. Participants must arrange their own travel and the institute will not provide any financial support.
