Applications are invited for the position of a Junior Research Fellow in Dr. Kritika Garg’s lab at IBAB, Bengaluru (https://www.ibab.ac.in/research/dr-kritika-garg/). The successful candidate will use comparative genomics tools to understand evolutionary history of non-model organisms. The position is initially available for six month and is extendable based on performance. CSIR/UGC NET, GATE, DBT-BINC eligibility will be an added advantage. Meritorious candidates will be eligible to enrol in the PhD program.

Essential requirements

  1. Masters degree in Bioinformatics/Life Sciences/Biology with at least 60% marks from a recognize university
  2. Experience in any programming languages such as Python/R/UNIX
  3. Ability to work independently as well as in a group
  4. Ability to maintain detailed records

Remuneration
Remuneration will be commensurate with expertise and experience and as per institute’s policy.

Tenure

The position is initially for a period of six months and extendable based on performance.
