Applications are invited for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the Computational Biology group of Dr. Nithya Ramakrishnan at the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), Bengaluru. The project involves scRNA-seq and RNA-seq pipelines development, modelling the epigenetic and immunological processes using Machine Learning. The positions will be offered initially for 6 months and extended based on performance and satisfactory progress until project funding is available. Hostel facility within the campus is available.

Essential Qualifications, Experiences and Skills:
Master’s degree (M.Sc. OR equivalent) in Mathematics/Physics or related subjects with at least 65% of marks or 6.50 CGPA from a recognized university.
(Or)
B.Tech /B.E in Computer Science/ Electronics and Communication/ Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with at least 65% of marks or 6.50 CGPA from a recognized university.

All applicants should have the following essential skills/experiences:
(a) Excellent coding skills (preferably in Python and/or R) and proficiency in Unix environments (Please provide links to previously written code in the resume).
(b) Knowledge and experience in applying Machine Learning algorithms to real-world data.
(c) Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, motivated and team player.Candidates with prior experience in computational projects can also apply.
