Shweta Hegde, a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Sanjay Ghosh, has been selected to attend the prestigious “EMBO Practical Course: Synthetic Biology in action”, which will be held from June 30-July 7, 2026 at EMBL Heidelberg, Germany. In addition, she has been selected for an EMBO Associate Member Travel Grant of EUR 1000 to support her participation in the course.
PhD student Riya, working under the supervision of Prof. Shruthi Vembar, has won a travel award to attend and present her research at one of the top international parasitology conferences, the XXXVIIth Molecular Parasitology Meeting, which will take place between September 13-17, 2026 at the Marine Biology Laboratory, Woods Hole, Massachusetts, USA. The award will cover Riya’s travel, accommodation and registration expenses.
On Apr 23, 2026, IBAB signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bengaluru Science and Technology (BeST) Cluster located in the Innovation Centre Building, Indian Institute of Science campus, Bengaluru, to establish a program for academic cooperation to exchange academic information, collaborate on teaching materials, organize joint programs, seminars and research initiatives, secure funding, facilitate faculty and student exchanges, and pursue other mutually beneficial activities.
