INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EoI) AND QUOTATION CALL

Civil Works at the IBAB Campus

1. Introduction

The Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), Bengaluru, invites Expressions of Interest (EoI) along with financial quotations from experienced civil works agencies for carrying out civil, fabrication, plumbing and allied works at the IBAB campus. Submission of an EoI does not by itself confer any right to award of work.

2. Scope

The detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) forms an integral part of this document. Agencies may submit quotations for all or selected work groups identified in the BOQ. All materials and workmanship shall conform to applicable standards and good engineering practice.

3. Eligibility

  • Valid PAN and GST registration (where applicable).
  • Registration under applicable labour laws, EPF/ESI, where required by law.
  • Experience in similar civil works at a scale equivalent or higher than the tasks listed in this call.
  • Evidence of satisfactory completion of similar works in time.
  • Not blacklisted/debarred during the last three years.
  • Adequate technical manpower and supervision.

C. Undertaking

The selected agency shall execute the work professionally and complete it within the stipulated time, deploy suitable personnel, comply with applicable labor and safety requirements, rectify defects during the agreed guarantee period, and be responsible for any damage caused to IBAB property during execution.

5. Financial Quotation

The financial quotation shall be submitted using the enclosed BOQ. Rates shall clearly indicate GST separately, wherever applicable. Quotations shall remain valid for 45 days from the submission deadline.

6. Selection Process

Selection will be based on the technical suitability of the agency, relevant experience, compliance with the eligibility criteria, and the reasonability of the quoted rates. IBAB reserves the right to select one or more agencies, or not to award any work, if considered appropriate. The decision of the IBAB Director shall be final in this regard.

7. Terms and Conditions

  • IBAB reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotations, wholly or partially, without assigning any reason.
  • IBAB may modify or cancel this EoI before award of work.
  • No Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is required.
  • Work shall commence only after issue of a written work order.
  • The work shall be completed within the period specified in the work order or as mutually agreed.
  • The agency shall provide the guarantee/warranty period for workmanship and supplied materials, wherever applicable.
  • Completed work will be inspected by IBAB and payment released after satisfactory certification.
  • Any damage to Institute property shall be rectified or compensated by the agency.
  • Sub-contracting requires prior written approval of IBAB.
  • The EoI shall be governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru shall have jurisdiction.
