Introduction
IBAB Students’ Research Day will bring together IBAB’s PhD scholars and research fellows for a showcase of their ongoing investigations through poster presentations and research talks. These investigations span the institute’s thematic strengths, including genomics, synthetic biology, molecular biology, computational biology, big data biology, structural bioinformatics, systems biology, disease biology, and emerging frontiers such as AI-driven life sciences and quantum biology. By providing a rigorous yet supportive platform for scholarly exchange, the event provides an opportunity for students to refine their scientific communication skills, receive constructive feedback, and engage in meaningful dialogue with peers, faculty, and invited experts.
Relevance to IBAB’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations
The core strength of any academic institute lies in its research, and this is what the IBAB Students’ Research Day intends to emphasise. By showcasing and reflecting on the work of young scholars who are shaping IBAB’s scientific future, the event will serve as a testament to the institute’s 25-year growth into a leading research center: through cultivating scientific inquiry, fostering interdisciplinary education, and rigorously training scholars to tackle national and global challenges in health, agriculture and biotechnology innovation. Overall, it will reaffirm IBAB’s vision for advancing research excellence, nurturing scientific leadership, and contributing meaningfully to societal growth and development.
