Dr. Avinash Menon Rajendran is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2013 batch, Karnataka cadre. He holds an M.B.B.S. degree in Medicine from the University of Kerala. Currently, he serves as Director of the Department of Electronics, IT and Biotechnology, Govt. of Karnataka as well as the Managing Director of Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS), Bengaluru, a position he has held since June 30, 2026. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including Mission Director (National Health Mission and Directorate of Health and family Welfare Services, Bengaluru), Special Commissioner (Administration, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, BBMP, Bengaluru), Deputy Commissioner (Ramanagara District and Raichur District), Additional Commissioner (Commercial Tax, Bengaluru) and Additional Commissioner (Bengaluru).
